Anthony Dixon still slowed by calf injury for Bills
Buffalo Bills running back Anthony Dixon will be active for Week 5, but he is still feeling the effects of his calf injury.
Dixon was not listed on the injury report, but running backs coach Anthony Lynn said that Dixon is lacking explosion. Karlos Williams still hasn't returned to practice as he is in concussion protocol, and the team just signed Boom Herron out of free agency earlier in the week. This is shaping up to be a mess of a backfield in Week 5.
If we could properly pinpoint which player would see the bulk of the carries, they'd have solid potential this week. They'll face a Tennessee Titans team that ranks 25th in Adjusted Defensive Rushing Net Expected Points (NEP) per play. The Bills as a team rank fourth on the offensive side, so they have the assets to get it done; it's just predicting which back gets the load that presents problems.
