DeSean Jackson returns to Washington practice Wednesday

Washington wide receiver DeSean Jackson returned to practice Wednesday for the first time since injuring his hamstring on September 13th, according to Liz Clarke of the Washington Post.

What It Means:

This is a positive sign for Jackson with regards to his return, though that does not necessarily mean that he'll be ready for Week 5. With tight end Jordan Reed potentially out, the team will need pass catchers.

Despite quarterback play, Jackson finished third in Reception Net Expected Points (NEP) per play last year among wide receivers with at least 80 targets. Both Reed and wide receiver Pierre Garcon were receiving over 20 percent of the team's targets, so there is a wealth of opportunity for Jackson when he returns.
