Arian Foster to have increased role for Texans Week 5

Houston Texans running back Arian Foster is expected to have an increased role in Week 5 against the Indianapolis Colts, according to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle.

What It Means:

This shouldn't be a difficult task for Foster, who only saw 11 touches (8 carries, 3 receptions plus 2 additional targets) in Week 4. Thursday will be his second game back following groin surgery during training camp.

Foster's first week back really couldn't have been much worse than what it was. His 8 carries turned into -10.26 Rushing Net Expected Points (NEP), losing more than a full point per time he touched the ball. This was very un-Foster like as he finished 10th in Rushing NEP per play last year among the 43 backs with at least 100 carries. Our projections have him rushing for 61 yards and 0.50 touchdowns with 3 receptions for 26 yards in Week 5.
