Eric Ebron could miss 'up to' 3 weeks for Lions

Detroit Lions tight end Eric Ebron is dealing with a bruised knee and could miss "up to" three weeks, according to Josina Anderson of ESPN.

What It Means:

Ebron was forced to leave Monday night's game early with the injury, but an MRI revealed no structural damage. This means Ebron should be expected to miss Week 5, but he could potentially return shortly after that.

The tight end duties now fall to Tim Wright, unless Brandon Pettigrew can work his way back from a hamstring strain that has kept him out since Week 1. Wright had two targets Monday, his first two targets in a Lions uniform. Wright turned his 33 targets with the New England Patriots last year into 26.72 Reception Net Expected Points, indicating that he could potentially hold his own if asked to step into a larger role.
