Washington's Jay Gruden wants Kirk Cousins to be more aggressive
Washington Redskins head coach Jay Gruden said he wants impending free agent quarterback Kirk Cousins to be more aggressive.
“A lot of times he needs to see guys being open instead of throwing guys open from time to time," Gruden said. Cousins didn't create many big plays this season while adjusting to a new group of receivers and also dealing with the loss of DeSean Jackson. If he chooses to return to Washington in 2018, the continuity should bode well for the offense.
Cousins averaged 18.2 FanDuel points during his third full season under center, with 4,093 passing yards, 27 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions while also rushing for 4 scores on the ground.
