Ben Roethlisberger not expecting to return to Steelers in Week 7

Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger (knee) said he is not targeting Week 7 against the Kansas City Chiefs for his Pittsburgh Steelers return.

What It Means:

This statement refuted a report that Roethlisberger was hoping to return from his Grade 2 MCL sprain on October 25 by Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports. "We know that people like to just speculate and say things. That did not come from me, the Steelers or any of our doctors." Roethlisberger remains week to week with no certain timetable, and Michael Vick remains under center.

Vick has brought in the second-lowest Total Net Expected Points (NEP) per play among all quarterbacks this year. His -0.35 Passing NEP per play is 0.91 lower than Roethlisberger's per-play mark for 2015; nearly a full point lower on each drop-back.
