Steelers' Le'Veon Bell in 'happy' place with early contract talks

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell said that he is in a "happy" place with where contract talks stand, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.

What It Means:

In a report from the Pro Bowl, Bell said, "We are a lot closer than we were last year." Clearly, the Steelers are making it a priority to show the now three-time Pro-Bowler that he's highly valued in Pittsburgh. This comes after reports suggested that Bell was late to a walkthrough leading up to a Divisional Round matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Of the situation, he said it was personal matter he made the team aware of.

With 1,291 rushing yards and 9 rushing scores, Bell was a -3.81 in terms of rushing NEP. But, out of the backfield, he ranked 6th among backs with 34.74 NEP on 85 catches.
