No structural damage to Eric Ebron's knee; availability for Lions uncertain

An MRI on Detroit Lions tight end Eric Ebron's left knee showed no structural damage, according to Adam Caplan of ESPN.

What It Means:

Ebron was forced to leave Monday night's game early because of the issue. There is currently no timetable for his return as the extent of the injury is unknown, but this is at least an encouraging sign.

This is a major blow, regardless, for Ebron, who had been making strides in his second season. He had garnered 20 targets through the first three weeks and three additional on Monday prior to departing. His 0.63 Reception Net Expected Points per target ranks 12th out of the 23 tight ends with at least 15 targets. This is after he finished 27th in the same category last year out of 32 tight ends with at least 40 targets.
