Seahawks hope Marshawn Lynch 'ready to go' Week 5

Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said he is "hoping" running back Marshawn Lynch will be "ready to go" Week 5 against the Cincinnati Bengals.

What It Means:

Lynch has missed almost the entirety of the past two games because of two separate leg injuries. In his place, Thomas Rawls out-touched Fred Jackson 18 to 5, so Rawls should be expected to see a bulk of the carries if Lynch is again out.

Rawls hasn't quite equaled Lynch's efficiency just yet, but he also hasn't been too bad. He is currently 34th in Rushing Net Expected Points (NEP) per play out of the 54 running backs with at least 20 carries. This is ahead of Lynch, who sits 50th in the category after leading the league in Rushing NEP last year. If Lynch can suit up, our projections have him going for 69 yards and 0.40 touchdowns while adding 3 receptions for 30 yards.
