Kenny Britt, Patriots finalizing deal
Free agent wide receiver Kenny Britt, formerly of the Cleveland Browns, is nearing a deal with the New England Patriots, reports Field Yates of ESPN.
After signing a four-year, $32.5 million deal with the Browns in March, Britt was released last Friday following a dreadful showing in Cleveland. There's no guarantee that he makes the Patriots' roster, but it's a low-risk move that adds depth to the roster. Britt could potentially replace Phillip Dorsett as the fourth receiver behind Brandin Cooks, Chris Hogan, and Danny Amendola.
Britt averaged 4.9 FanDuel points in nine games for the Browns, with 18 receptions (38 targets) for 233 yards and 2 touchdowns.
