Giants place Janoris Jenkins (ankle) on IR
New York Giants cornerback Janoris Jenkins has been placed on injured reserve, reports ESPN's Jordan Raanan.
Jenkins has dealt with an ankle injury for two months now. As a result, he will now undergo surgery today, ending his 2017 season. He has three years and roughly $31 million remaining on his five-year deal.
Jenkins had tallied 29 tackles, 9 pass defenses and 3 interceptions through 9 games. He also added a forced fumble and took 2 of his picks back for six. Losing a crucial part of their pass defense, the Giants' defense is projected for just 5.9 FanDuel points in this week's game against the Oakland Raiders.
