Free Agent Darren McFadden announces retirement after 10 seasons
Free agent running back Darren McFadden has retired from the NFL as he announced on his Twitter page Tuesday afternoon.
The 30-year-old back most recently played for the Dallas Cowboys, where he played the last three seasons. He and the team agreed to part ways, which resulted in McFadden being waived and unclaimed on waivers this week. The Cowboys have opted for Alfred Morris and Rod Smith in the absence of the suspended Ezekiel Elliott.
This season, McFadden played in just 1 game and took a single rush for -2 yards. He has ran for 5,421 yards and 28 touchdowns in his 103 games with the Cowboys and Oakland Raiders.
