Jordan Matthews may benefit with Kelvin Benjamin on Bills
Buffalo Bills wide receiver Jordan Matthews is the 43rd-ranked fantasy option at his position in numberFire's Week 9 fantasy rankings.
Kelvin Benjamin is expected to take over as the Bills' number-one receiver following Tuesday's trade with the Carolina Panthers, but this doesn't necessarily mean bad news for Matthews' fantasy outlook moving forward. Benjamin's arrival should actually force defenses to focus their attention elsewhere, which could open up looks for Matthews. He's been held to just 41 total receiving yards over the past three games heading into a Week 9 road matchup with the New York Jets on Thursday Night Football.
numberFire's models project Matthews to catch 2.8 passes for 38.2 yards and 0.25 touchdowns on 3.9 targets versus the Jets tonight, which would produce 6.7 FanDuel points at a cost of $5,900. He's averaging 5.5 FanDuel points across six games this season.
