Cardinals' Carson Palmer to have surgery on left arm, out eight weeks

According to Arizona Cardinals' head coach Bruce Arians, quarterback Carson Palmer will undergo surgery on his left arm and miss eight weeks.

What It Means:

Palmer left the Cardinals game against the Rams in the second quarter after being drilled by Rams' linebacker Alec Olgetree.

If the initial timeline is correct, the earliest Palmer could return would be Week 15. He was replaced by Drew Stanton who completed five passes on 14 attempts for 62 yards.
