Jason McCourty injures ankle at Friday's practice, questionable for Browns
Cleveland Browns defensive back Jason McCourty injured his ankle in Friday's practice and is questionable for Week 7 against the Tennessee Titans.
Through six weeks of the season, Pro Football Focus ranks McCourty as the best cover corner in the NFL out of 108 qualifiers, so his absence would be a huge boost for Marcus Mariota, Rishard Matthews, Eric Decker, and the Titans' entire passing game. McCourty held DeAndre Hopkins to 2 catches for 19 yards on 3 targets against the Houston Texans in Week 6.
McCourty has 24 tackles (22 solo), 3 interceptions, 9 pass deflections, 2 forced fumbles, and 1 touchdown this season. numberFire's models project him for 4.4 tackles with 0.2 interceptions and 1.0 pass deflections in Week 7.
