Giants' Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie leaves practice, likely to be suspended

New York Giants cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie showed up to Wednesday's practice, but left before the end of it.

What It Means:

According to the team's official Twitter account, coach Ben McAdoo said that the team will suspend Rodgers-Cromartie. Reports indicate the the veteran corner will return to the team sooner rather than later but that this issue stems from his blowup on the sidelines this past week. The Giants will be without a starting corner and could be without safety Landon Collins (ankle) to boot.

Having tallied 17 tackles and a sack to date, we proejct Rodgers-Cromartie for 46.2 tackles, 1.3 sacks and 2.8 interceptions over the rest of the year. With him, the Giants' passing defense ranks 15th in the league, according to our metrics. At 0-5, they face the Denver Broncos in Week 6.
