Thomas Rawls, Eddie Lacy share 'equal status' in Seattle backfield
Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said that running backs Thomas Rawls and Eddie Lacy have "equal status" in the backfield.
Carroll has avoided labeling one as the starter over another, and he said he'll see how they do. Both backs received 10 touches in Week 5, but the Seahawks are on bye for Week 6. There probably won't be any change in the backs' designations or workload prior to Week 7's matchup with the New York Giants.
For the remainder of the year, our models project Rawls for 508.7 yards and 2.34 touchdowns on 116.5 touches while we expect Lacy to total 478.2 yards and 2.63 touchdowns on 78.1 rushes and 19.0 receptions.
