Chargers waive kicker Younghoe Koo, sign Nick Novak
The Los Angeles Chargers have waived kicker Younghoe Koo on Thursday.
Looking to give their slumping season a boost, the 0-4 Chargers have signed veteran kicker Nick Novak to handle the kicking duties the rest of the year. Koo had struggled this season, having a game thing kick blocked in Week 1 and missing a potential game-winning kick in Week 2.
Koo had gone 3-for-6 on field goal attempts this season, including 1-for-4 on kicks 40 yards or longer.
