Patriots' Dont'a Hightower diagnosed with sprained MCL
New England Patriots linebacker Dont'a Hightower suffered a sprained MCL in the Week 1 Thursday night loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, reports Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Rapoport describes the sprain as "minor," so Hightower might be able to suit up for Week 2 with 10 days to recover. Consider him questionable for that September 17 matchup with the New Orleans Saints.
numberFire's models project Hightower to record 81.5 tackles, 3.0 sacks, 2.3 pass deflections, 0.4 interceptions, 1.0 forced fumbles, 0.9 fumbles recovered, and 0.16 defensive touchdowns this season.
