Cowboys' Darren McFadden to take backseat in Week 1
Dallas Cowboys running back Darren McFadden will serve as the backup to Ezekiel Elliott for Week 1's game against the New York Giants.
Originally, McFadden was set to start Week 1 with Elliott's six-game suspension in place. But now, everything is up in the air and Elliott's playing Week 1 and possibly further into the season pending a court ruling on his TRO. That pushes McFadden back to his backup role, where he's unlikely to get heavy snaps behind one of the league's best backs.
With Elliott projected for 19.7 rushes and 2.7 catches, McFadden is left with just scraps this week. His projections of 4.7 rushes, 17.9 yards and 4.1 FanDuel points shouldn't play much of a factor in this week's DFS contests.
