49ers say former Olympian Marquise Goodwin can be 'special'
The 49ers believe wide receiver Marquise Goodwin can be "special." Goodwin caught 3 of his 4 targets for 44 yards during Saturday's preseason game against Denver.
Over a four-year career spent entirely with the Buffalo Bills until this season, the speedy deep threat caught a total of just 49 passes for 780 yards and 6 touchdowns. Goodwin appears locked in as a top-two wideout for the 49ers alongside Pierre Garcon, with Jeremy Kerley playing the slot.
We project Goodwin, who will turn 27 years old in November, for 26.2 receptions, 380.9 yards and 2.4 touchdowns in 2017.
