Saints' Drew Brees expected to play out the final year of his contract
New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees is expected to play out the final year of his contract.
Brees said that he hasn't even been thinking about an extension. The Saints do not look like a team that will be making a deep playoff run in the near future, and Brees will be 39 in January -- making any sort of a long-term extension look incredibly unlikely.
numberFire's models project Brees for 4970.3 yards, 37.4 touchdowns and 13.0 interceptions on 419.9-for-650.9 passing in 2017, making him our third-ranked fantasy quarterback.
