David Njoku suffers an ankle injury in Browns' preseason game
Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku suffered an ankle injury in Monday's preseason game versus the New York Giants, per Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
After sitting out the preseason opener with a back injury, the rookie tight end caught just 1-of-3 targets for 1 yard on Monday, before exiting with the ankle injury. While it doesn't appear to be serious, the team will have more information in the morning. If he misses any time, Seth DeValve would see an uptick in snaps.
Our models project Njoku as the 24th-best tight end in 2017 with 508.0 yards and 2.8 touchdowns.
