Colts' Marlon Mack rips up Cowboys reserves in second preseason game

Indianapolis Colts running back Marlon Mack carried five times for 45 yards while adding two receptions for 14 yards in Saturday’s preseason game.

What It Means:

It was the fourth-round rookie's first pro contest after missing the preseason opener with a shoulder issue. Mack played entirely against the Dallas Cowboys reserves, but that doesn't take anything away from the raw explosiveness displayed on the field. Mack broke off runs of 10, 13, and 23 yards. The Colts need a playmaker in their backfield; they had just four runs of 20 or more yards in 2016, which was tied for last in the league. Mack is still behind veteran Frank Gore and backup Robert Turbin, but is certainly worth a roster spot in all fantasy leagues.

Our models project Mack as fantasy football's RB61, with 67 carries for 268 rushing yards and 2.10 touchdowns, as well as 24 catches for 191 receiving yards and 0.37 scores.
