Christine Michael

Seahawks shopping running back Christine Michael

Seattle Seahawks' running back Christine Michael is being shopped in trades, reports CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora.

What It Means:

With Fred Jackson now in the fold and promising rookie Thomas Rawls behind him on the depth chart, Michael is likely viewed as expendable. Inconsistency has always been Michael's modus operandi, and he reportedly was struggling with the same issues in training camp this year. Michael has a ton of natural ability, however, and would be an excellent pickup for a backfield lacking top-end talent.

Michael -- drafted in 2013 -- hasn't seen extensive regular season action, but has totaled 4.79 Rushing Net Expected Points in 52 career carries, as well as a 40.38 percent career success rate.
