Seahawks sign Fred Jackson to one-year contract
Running back Fred Jackson has agreed to a one-year contract with the Seattle Seahawks.
Jackson played well in his only game this preseason posting 48 rushing yards on five carries and a touchdown. Robert Turbin and Christine Michael are currently slotted as the backup running backs behind Marshawn Lynch in Seattle. Jackson will turn 35 years old in February.
The Seahawks ranked first in our schedule-adjusted Rushing Net Expected Points (NEP) metric last season. Jackson ranked 36th out of 43 running backs with at least 100 carries with a -0.08 Rushing NEP per carry on the year.
