Multiple owners did not want NFL to appeal Tom Brady's suspension overturning

Several NFL owners did not want the league to appeal a U.S. District Court Judge's decision to void a four-game suspension of New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, according to Jason Cole of Bleacher Report.

What It Means:

It appears that the NFL's statement that said "the league and our 32 clubs will continue to pursue [an appeal]" was a little misleading. There's no doubt that the Goodell reign as commissioner has been marred by mishandling of legal cases left and right. This is yet another brick in that wall.

With the decision overturned in federal court, we don't expect the courts to go back on their decision. Tom Brady is an absolute steal in drafts right now, as prior to the suspension being overturned, our algorithms projected him to throw for 3,426 yards, 23 touchdowns, and 9 interceptions. That should be a vast underestimation at this point.
