Cowboys' Greg Hardy mulling appeal in wake of the overturning of Tom Brady's suspension

Dallas Cowboys defensive end Greg Hardy is discussing an appeal of his four-game suspension with the NFL Players Association, according to ESPN's Ed Werder.

What It Means:

Since New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady had a four-game suspension overturned earlier Thursday, Hardy's camp apparently believes it might have a shot to overturn his suspension for violation of the NFL's personal conduct policy entirely. Hardy was originally suspended for 10 games for an incident of domestic violence, but successfully appealed and it was reduced to four.

Even with a four-game suspension in place, we project Hardy for a strong 47 tackles and 12.5 sacks. If he was somehow able to win a legal battle against the league, he could easily top 55 tackles and 15 sacks. The Cowboys' defense would be heavily bolstered from any reduction in Hardy's suspension.
