Randall Cobb expects to be ready to go for Green Bay's opener
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Randall Cobb (shoulder) expects to be ready for Week 1.
Cobb was already slated for an immense workload, but the absence of Jordy Nelson will only increase his targets. Cobb has missed 12 games due to injury during his first four seasons in the league. Last year was his first season starting more than eight games.
The Packers ranked first in our schedule-adjusted Passing Net Expected Points (NEP) metric last season. Cobb ranked second out of 40 wide receivers with at least 100 targets with a 0.94 Reception NEP per target last season. Our algorithms project Cobb to finish the year with 95 receptions, 1,335 receiving yards, and 10 touchdowns.
