Patriots acquire Jalen Saunders from Saints
The New England Patriots have acquired wide receiver and kick return specialist Jalen Saunders from the New Orleans Saints in exchange for a conditional draft pick.
What It Means:
Saunders will compete with undrafted rookie Chris Harper for kick return opportunities before the season starts. Saunders recorded one reception for seven yards during his rookie season.
Saunders averaged 60.0 yards per kick return and 8.3 yards per punt return with the Saints and Jets last season. Our algorithms projected Saunders to finish the year with 5 receptions for 52 receiving yards prior to the trade.
