Colts' T.Y. Hilton suffers concussion during Saturday's preseason game

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton is currently following the league's concussion protocol after sustaining the injury during Saturday's preseason game against the St. Louis Rams.

What It Means:

Hilton will have two weeks to recover before the season opener against the Buffalo Bills. His status for Week 1 is currently unknown. He is currently slotted as the number one wide receiver in the Colts offense.

The Colts ranked sixth in our schedule-adjusted Passing Net Expected Points (NEP) metric last season. Hilton impressively ranked eighth out of 40 wide receivers with at least 100 targets with a 0.83 Reception NEP per target. Our algorithms project Hilton to finish the season with 94 receptions, 1,287 receiving yards, and 10 receiving touchdowns.
