Broncos disappointed in second-year receiver Cody Latimer
Denver Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak suggested the team is expecting more year-two development from receiver Cody Latimer.
As a rookie, Latimer played just 37 snaps and caught two passes with the team. Tight end Julius Thomas and wide receiver Wes Welker are no longer with the team, so Latimer should have an easier path to snaps. Although it sounds like he may not be taking advantage of his opportunity.
Last year, Peyton Manning added 167.47 points above expectation-level with his passing, according to our Passing Net Expected Points metric. That ranked him second in the league. He can still get it done, and if Latimer does get things figured out, he might be a fantasy asset in deeper leagues.
