Josh McCown outperforming other Jets' quarterbacks at OTAs
New York Jets quarterback Josh McCown has been "far and away" the team's best quarterback at OTAs, per Connor Hughes of NJ Advance Media.
McCown isn't exactly dealing with tough competition in Bryce Petty and Christian Hackenberg, and while the three have been receiving a similar number of first team reps at OTAs, it would come as a big surprise if McCown weren't the Jets' Week 1 starter.
The Jets finished 30th in schedule-adjusted Passing Net Expected Points (NEP) per play last season. McCown's 0.00 Passing NEP per dropback ranked only 31st among the 39 quarterbacks with at least 100 dropbacks on the year.
