Kevin King and Davon House to start Week 1 for Packers
The Green Bay Packers expect rookie cornerback Kevin King to be a Week 1 starter.
King should start opposite Davon House, with Damarious Randall playing the slot. The Packers are counting on an immediate impact from King after fielding one of the worst secondaries in the league. King's presence will reduce Quinten Rollins and LaDarius Gunter to sub-package roles.
King started 36 games in his Huskies' career, posting 6 interceptions and 22 passes defended with 164 tackles (101 solo) in his four seasons. The Packers finished last season ranked 22nd in schedule-adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points allowed per play.
