Saints believe Max Unger (foot) will be back by preseason
The New Orleans Saints expect center Max Unger (foot surgery) to return during the preseason, Pro Football Talk reports.
What It Means:
This comes a day after NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Unger as doubtful for Week 1. The Saints appear to be more optimistic, meaning a trade is unlikely. Unger underwent foot surgery over this past weekend.
The Saints finished second in the NFL last season in schedule-adjusted Offensive Net Expected Points per play.
