Christine Michael released again by Packers
The Green Bay Packers released running back Christine Michael.
What It Means:
Michael was re-signed by the Packers in March, but after drafting three running backs over the weekend, they apparently had some buyer's remorse with the 26-year-old tease of a talent. Fellow backfield mate Don Jackson was also released. Ty Montgomery projects to lead Green Bay's backfield again in 2017. If Michael lands anywhere, it will be his sixth NFL home in seven seasons.
Among the 42 running backs to top 100 carries in 2016, Michael's -0.01 Rushing Net Expected Points per attempt was 20th in the group.
