49ers shopping Vance McDonald on Day 2 of draft
The San Francisco 49ers are shopping tight end Vance McDonald.
What It Means:
A carryover from ex-general manager Trent Baalke, McDonald is one season into a five-year, $35 million extension. There's unlikely to be any interest in him as a middling veteran coming off injury. The 49ers owe McDonald $5.8 million guaranteed over the next two seasons.
Among the 43 tight ends to see at least 30 targets in 2016, McDonald's 0.79 Reception Net Expected Points per target were eighth-most.
