Browns trade up to draft David Njoku at 29

The Cleveland Browns traded up with the Green Bay Packers to select Miami Hurricanes tight end David Njoku at the 29th overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft.

What It Means:

The Packers got the 33rd and 108th picks for the 29th pick and Njoku could see the field early and often for a Browns team in need of playmakers. He possesses great athleticism and length, which makes him one of the highest upside tight ends of the draft. Don't be surprised if Njoku sees a good amount of targets in his rookie season.

In two seasons with Miami, Njoku recorded 64 catches for 1,060 yards and 9 touchdowns (eight of which came in 2016) while averaging 11.2 yards after the catch.
