Broncos say Cowboys' Tony Romo hasn't been topic of discussion

Denver Broncos head coach Vance Joseph said the team hasn't had "one meeting" about Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo.

What It Means:

The Cowboys were never expected to find a trade partner for Romo, so the Broncos have no incentive to give up anything if they know he'll eventually hit waivers. Once Romo is released, Denver appears to be the frontrunner to land him.

Romo tossed -0.04 Passing Net Expected Points (NEP) per drop back on 127 drop backs in 2015, but generated 0.16 Passing NEP per drop back on 684 such plays in 2014, so it's tough to gauge expectations for what will be the veteran's age-37 season.
