Mike Wallace will remain with Ravens for 2017
The Baltimore Ravens exercised wide receiver Mike Wallace's option and will keep him for 2017.
The Ravens could have cleaned out $8 million in cap space by releasing Wallace, but following Steve Smith's retirement and Torrey Smith signing with the Philadelphia Eagles, they figured to stick with him. Wallace turns 31 in August and projects to start opposite Breshad Perriman, either as the number-one or number-two option.
Among the 60 receivers to see 80 or more targets last season, Wallace ranked 36th in Reception Net Expected Points per target (116 targets).
