Browns going hardest after Tony Jefferson
The Cleveland Browns are aggressively pursuing Arizona Cardinals impending free agent safety Tony Jefferson, and offering him the most money, reports Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.
What It Means:
The Baltimore Ravens are also interested, but unwilling to match the Browns financially. As the top safety on the market, Jefferson has the luxury of choosing between the most money or best opportunity for a ring.
The Browns finished 2016 with the worst secondary in the league, based on schedule-adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points allowed per play.
