49ers directing focus on Pierre Garcon
The San Francisco 49ers are "setting their sights" on Washington impending free agent wide receiver Pierre Garcon, reports NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
It sounds like new 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan is zeroing in not only on his former quarterback in Washington, but one of his weapons as well. Garcon caught a career-high 113 passes for a career-best 1,346 receiving yards under Shanahan in 2013. He'll be 31 in August, but appeared to have plenty left to give last season.
Among the 41 wideouts to top 100 targets in 2016, Garcon's 0.84 Reception Net Expected Points per target was fifth-best.
