Brandon Marshall a good fit for Giants
The New York Giants are a good landing spot for free agent wide receiver Brandon Marshall, SNY's Ralph Vacchiano believes.
Marshall fills multiple needs for the Giants as an outside receiver with size to complement Odell Beckham. The Giants could use Marshall to upgrade their red-zone offense after they ranked in the bottom half of the league last year. Marshall has also been linked to the Baltimore Ravens.
Among the 41 receivers with at least 100 targets in 2016, Marshall's Reception Net Expected Points per target of 0.58 ranked sixth-worst. He also struggled to find the end zone, scoring just three times after turning in 45 combined touchdowns over the previous four seasons. Many of these struggles can be traced to poor quarterback play, however.
