Darrelle Revis released by Jets
The New York Jets released defensive back Darrelle Revis.
Revis' play fell off a cliff last season after a solid 2015 campaign, and while there was already plenty of speculation that the Jets would release the aging veteran, a February arrest on felony assault charges sealed his fate. Revis turns 32 in July and a position change to safety will likely be necessary if he wants to continue playing.
In no small part to Revis, the Jets' secondary ranked third-worst in 2016 in schedule-adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points per play
