Markus Wheaton unlikely to be back with Steelers
The Pittsburgh Steelers have shown "little interest" in re-signing free agent wide receiver Markus Wheaton, reports the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
This coincides with what Ed Bouchette reported last week. Wheaton is only 26, but was limited to just nine targets in three games last season, so there likely won't be too much demand for the underachieving wideout.
Wheaton caught four passes for 51 yards and a touchdown in 2016. He hauled in 44 catches for 749 yards and 5 scores across 16 games in the the previous campaign.
