Lions considering changes at tight end

The Detroit Lions "might end up overhauling" the tight end position this offseason, according to Michael Rothstein of ESPN.

What It Means:

The Lions have to make a decision on Eric Ebron's fifth-year option this offseason, but it sounds like they're planning on bringing in some outside help either way. Martellus Bennett could be an option in free agency, or they may use a first-round selection on a prospect like Alabama's O.J. Howard or Miami's David Njoku.

Ebron came in ninth in Reception Net Expected Points per target among the 32 tight ends to top 50 targets last season.
