Tony Romo

Cowboys will consult Tony Romo before any move

The Dallas Cowboys will "do right" by quarterback Tony Romo, MMQB's Albert Breer expects.

What It Means:

That means either trading Romo to a team of his choosing or releasing him and letting him test the open market. This belief is shared by a number of Cowboys staffers. Romo is expected to meet with owner Jerry Jones about his future before or during the upcoming Combine. The Arizona Cardinals, Denver Broncos, Houston Texans, and Kansas City Chiefs are among Romo's preferred landing spots.

The question remains how good Romo will be in what will be his age-37 campaign. In 2015, the veteran quarterback tossed -0.04 Passing Net Expected Points (NEP) per drop back on 127 drop backs, but generated 0.16 Passing NEP per drop back on 684 such plays in 2014.
