49ers could be landing spot for Falcons' Jacob Tamme
The San Francisco 49ers are a "strong possibility" to sign Atlanta Falcons tight end Jacob Tamme, according to ESPN reporter Vaughn McClure.
The 31-year-old said he loves being a Falcon but could opt to join his former offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan in San Francisco. The 49ers did just sign Vance McDonald to a five-year extension, though rookie Austin Hooper would be slated for a bigger role if Tamme winds up leaving Atlanta this offseason.
Among the 41 tight ends to see 30 targets or more in 2016, Tamme's 0.67 Reception Net Expected Points per target was 18th-best.
