Chargers' Melvin Ingram is a fit with Colts
The Indianapolis Colts could be a landing spot for San Diego Chargers outside linebacker Melvin Ingram.
What It Means:
The Colts run a similar scheme to the Chargers and need a pass-rusher with Robert Mathis retiring and Erik Walden and Trent Cole free agents. Ingram doesn’t have any direct ties to Indy, but played under defensive coordinator John Pagano his entire career.
Indianapolis finished the year ranked fourth-worst in Adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points allowed per play.
