Vikings to make strong attempt to re-sign Cordarrelle Patterson
The Minnesota Vikings will "make a strong effort" to re-sign wide receiver/kick returner Cordarrelle Patterson, ESPN’s Ben Goessling expects.
The Vikings want to keep Patterson, but only at a "reasonable price." That could be difficult with multiple teams likely to have interest. Patterson set career highs under offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur last year and is a candidate to see more time at running back with running back Adrian Peterson's future up in the air.
Among the 56 wide receivers with between 25 and 75 targets this year, Patterson's Reception Net Expected Points per target was 13th-lowest.
